Villa Della Porta Bozzolo, that stands in the varesine Valcuvia, in the town of Casalzuigno was donated to FAI in 1989 by the heirs of the Senator Bozzolo who collected, through several changes of ownership, the heritage of the Della Porta family, It is a typical Lombardy villa, a stately home with open galleries, built from the XVI century under the form of a rural settlement and then gradually transformed into a manor. In the XVII century the Villa assumed a more defined and organic structure , with the construction of a two-floor
residential body, looking east, in the direction of a parterre and an exhedra open towards a beautiful path of stately oaks that leads to a frescoed niche. But it was during the first decades of the XVIII century, with Gian Angelo III Della Porta, that the residence acquired the present stateliness, being enriched with the monumental structure of the park and with the festive decorations of the interior.
